This Privacy Policy explains what information GenZ Kawlo ("the App", "we", "us") collects from students who use the app, how it is used, and the choices you have — including how to request deletion of your data. GenZ Kawlo is built for students preparing for the Cameroon GCE examinations (Ordinary Level, Advanced Level, and TVEE).
1. Information We Collect
We collect only what is needed to run the app and process payments. We do not require an email/password account — your profile is tied to your device instead.

| Payment records | Purchase amount, subject/level unlocked, and transaction status — processed through our mobile-money payment partner (Fapshi). We do not store your mobile money PIN or full financial account details ourselves. |
| Search questions (if the Search feature is enabled) | Sent to our backend to look up an answer; not stored by our backend. |
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or location.
- We do not collect your mobile money PIN or card numbers — payments are handled by our licensed payment processor (Fapshi).
- Downloaded past papers are stored encrypted, locally on your device only, and are not uploaded anywhere.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your student profile.
- To unlock subjects/levels you've paid for and let you download their materials.
- To calculate and pay out referral earnings.
- To prevent abuse — for example, rate-limiting excessive requests and blocking automated or fraudulent activity.
- To respond to support requests and complaints.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Fapshi (our payment processor) — to process mobile money payments and referral payouts.
- Cloud infrastructure providers (Cloudflare) that host our backend and database, strictly to operate the service.
5. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to resolve a pending payment/payout. You can request deletion at any time — see the Account & Data Deletion section below.
6. Children's Privacy
GenZ Kawlo is intended for secondary school students preparing for GCE examinations. We do not knowingly collect more information than described above, and we do not use student data for advertising.
7. Your Rights
- You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- You can request correction of inaccurate information (e.g. your name or phone number).
- You can request full deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see below.
